1. How long does shipping take?
Processing: 3-7 business days. Shipping: 7-20 business days via freight carrier (contiguous US). You'll receive tracking and the carrier will contact you to schedule delivery.

2. What are shipping costs?
Calculated at checkout based on size/weight. Bookshelves, toy boxes, and study desks have separate freight charges. Free shipping on qualifying orders.

3. Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
Currently, only to the contiguous 48 states.

4. Do items require assembly?
Yes, all items require assembly (attaching shelves, legs, lids, hardware). Instructions and tools included. Often requires two people for larger items.

5. What safety standards do your products meet?

Our children's furniture complies with all applicable U.S. safety standards:

6. What is 16 CFR Part 1261 / ASTM F2057-23?
This is the mandatory CPSC safety standard for clothing storage units (CSUs) – including children's bookshelves and toy boxes that are 27 inches or taller. It requires:

Anti-tip devices meeting ASTM F3096 (tested to 60 lb static load)
Permanent warning labels and hang tags with performance data
Stability testing simulating a child up to 60 pounds interacting with the unit
Third-party testing for children's CSUs at a CPSC-accepted laboratory

7. Do your products include anti-tip devices?
Yes. For any bookshelf or toy box 27 inches or taller, we include an anti-tip device that MUST be anchored to the wall. Follow installation instructions carefully. Failure to anchor can result in tip-over, causing serious injury or death.

8. Are your products certified for children's use?
Yes. All products intended for children 12 and under are subject to CPSIA requirements:

Lead in substrate: ≤100 ppm (accessible parts)
Lead in surface coating: ≤90 ppm (16 CFR Part 1303)
Phthalates: ≤0.1% total content (DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, DNOP)
Small parts warning: If product contains small parts (fits within 1.25″ cylinder), it is age-graded 3+ with choking hazard warning per 16 CFR § 1500.19(b)
Tracking labels (16 CFR Part 1130): Permanent labels on product and packaging with manufacturer name, production date, batch number, and country of origin

9. Do you have a Children's Product Certificate (CPC)?
Yes. For all children's furniture, we provide a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) based on third-party testing at a CPSC-accepted laboratory, certifying compliance with all applicable CPSC safety rules (16 CFR Part 1261, CPSIA, etc.). The CPC includes product identification, citation to safety rules, manufacturer/importer information, date and place of manufacture, testing dates, and third-party laboratory identification.

10. What are the formaldehyde limits for composite wood?
If any product contains composite wood (MDF, particleboard, plywood), it complies with CARB ATCM Phase 2 (≤0.05 ppm formaldehyde) as required by 40 CFR 770. The California Air Resources Board regulation applies to all composite wood products sold, manufactured, or imported into the U.S.

11. What are tracking labels?
Per 16 CFR Part 1130, durable infant/toddler products (and children's products) must include permanent tracking labels on product and packaging containing:

Manufacturer or importer name
Production date (month/year)
Batch or lot number
Country of origin

12. How do I care for my children's furniture?

Clean: Wipe with soft, damp cloth; mild soap if needed. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Check hardware periodically; tighten if loose.
For anti-tip devices: Re-check wall anchors periodically.
Do not allow climbing on furniture.
